Greeting My name is Mark And I will be able to assist you. If you are trying to record music in to audacity it must be in a mp3 format. This can be achieved by changing the format of your music by downloading "switch sound" converter then change the format to mp3. I use audacity all the time It is a great free program.

this is an example on hoe to download and save something
when your music starts to download a browse option should open you can select your usb flash drive or once its downloaded you could copy and paste the music into the flash drive or drag and drop it into the flash drive
click start all programs accessories open windows explorer navigate to your music files right click on the music right copy navigate back to the destination drive right click select paste or hold the mouse cursor on the music files drag them to folder
then drop them
or if you are downloading photos from the internet
once it starts downloading windows will ask whether you want to run or save it
a browse option will open you can save it into a folder in my documents or another
device floppy or a usb device
