If you're trying to reinstall windows? Pop in your windows CD or recovery disc and just follow the directions. The installation process is very easy. :)

My computer won't let me log in.

I) if i understand ur problem you must have forgotten your password, in such case go into safe mode by pressing F8 button continuously when you start system  and from there go to user accounts and delete that account or ur account and create account and do remember ur password and all this possible incase ur OS is Windows XP and is not possible in case of Vista, ultimately incase of Vista you have reload Vista or Format Vista or load the OS Freshly...(you can recover forgotten passwrod in Vista)

ii) otherwise try installing or reloading new OS or load the OS Freshly.....

Acer aspire 5715z/5315, turned laptop on took time to load up wasnt responding, restarded laptop then it wouldnt restart then i turned it of manually, turned it back on,screen acer back ground in the bottom...

Reboot your system-press and hold F8 until you get a list of options-select Safe Mode-enter.Your system will run in Safe Mode, giving you a dropdown list as it progresses-check where it stops. In this way you can establish wether you have a corrupted or incompatible driver and which {Graphic ie} stop the system. You will have to reload the OS to solve the problem. If you cannot even boot into Safe Mode, your drive very likely crashed.Happy landing.
