How to register handset Uniden #d1685 to base #d1580? Is it Compatible or Is there any force registration to make it work?

Compatibility is doubtful: I just tried to register a
D1680 handset to a D1580 base and it failed.
Both the handset & base are "known good" but
they will not pair together.

It does not hurt to try, be sure your handset is
de-registered (hold the [END] and [ # ] keys
at the same time until the screen displays the
deregister instructions) and the battery well
charged.

Good luck!

Chordless phone went through washing machine

I'm afriad that phones and water and the stuff put in washing machines plus the kocking about in the spin cycle will have caused lots of damage. If it was under gurantee I can't see them covering it due to the nature of the accident. Fixing it would cost as much as a new phone. It's only good for the bin!

Uniden cordless phone ''froze up''. Un-useable at this point

I took it apart using a tiny screw driver and just sort of lifted the face plate and touched to circuit board here and there and I guess did a phone version of shocking the heart out of a bad rhythm, plus got lucky. i figured that it doesn't work anyway so it can only improve. Thanks guys, appreciate the help! Teri

GE 6.0 Dual Cordless Phones

No, the battery packs can not be ruined by leaving them in the charger. It is wise to keep both handsets charged up all the time. It won't hurt to leave them off the charger for extended periods..even several days. Of course, the amount of power left in any battery depends on at least two things: the amount of time since the last charge (yes, they do lose power just sitting) and the amount of use since the last charge. In this case, we are dealing with nickle metal hydride batteries and they do not develop a memory like nickle cadmium batteries do. Charge 'em up and just place them back there periodically or always. Not to worry.

Ge 900 MHz cordless phone set on rotary dialing

Lisa, If the 900MHZ phone is Model 26928M programming for rotary dial usually goes like below, can't hurt to try on any model. TONE/PULSE DIALING This adjustment allows you to select tone (touch-tone) or pulse (rotary) mode dialing. The phone is pre-set for touch-tone use. To set to tone or pulse dialing: 1. Press and hold the program button for two seconds. You will hear a beep. 2. Press the *tone button to select Tone Dialing or press #pause to select Pulse Dialing. 3. Press the program button again. You will hear a confirmation tone.
