Hi,
Sounds like a power supply failure. Protection circuit is trying to prevent further damage to the set.

You will need a tech who can take voltage measurements in order to find out what is going on inside.

If the set is still under a warranty program contact them right away. Otherwise you will need an experienced expert who can troubleshoot it.

Thanks

Power button blinks green about 1 minute then goes red

There is an additional problem,

if the bulb had been replaced by a technician, call them back and ask for additional support, since they did not fix the problem.

I have a mitsubishi 735 series dlp tv. Has red blinking status light. The error code was 4 blinks then two blinks. Do you know what is wrong with it?

That's the error indicating the lamp/ ballast fan has stopped working. You can get the Mitsubishi lamp / Ballast fan 299P321010 used in the V39 series DLP televisions. It comes with installation instructions and is available from www.tvrepairworld.com under the Mitsubishi DLP parts category.

A temp problem? First check all the fans and make sure they are free from debris or check to see if they are spinning.

Have you actually replaced the lamp first? A weakened lamp will often cause random shutdown or troubles during initial firing of the lamp. The LG televisions will be just the bulb itself not the complete lamp assembly. It's not hard to replace the bulb as long as you first allow the TV to cool down for a minimum of an hour. Then you will want to handle the lamp with latex gloves on to avoid getting oils from your skin on the bulb. You can find your bulb replacement at http://www.partstore.com

I have an LG DLP. that turns off after 15 -30 seconds

If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.

Lg 52sx4d problem

If the red light scrolls through, you need to replace the bulb. I replaced the my own bulb, and when I tried to turn on the tv the light kept scrolling. What was wrong? I DIDNT FULLY REASSEMBLE THE TV AFTER REPLACING THE BULB.

Make sure that all the screws are put back in and it will probably work if you have replaced the bulb.

LG DLP 52SX4D/Will not power up

Ours did the same, it was the colour wheel in the tv, it was stuck [from dust and smoke] and the tv wouldn't go past that problem.
