There is one other way you can try it, Usually monitors display a OSD menu or a No signal. Do so by turning power off then power on when not connected to computer. If the monitor shows that without clicking it might not be the monitor, but no problem just update me and i will keep checking back. Ill try my best. Keep me updated.

Do this for me and tell me what happens...

Use the same monitor on an old computer you might have lying around, it doesnt need to work, just show any display.

If it shows any display let me know and wether you can tell if the clicking is coming from near the area where your power connector is.

    Does the picture flicker?

Let me know what happens and i can tell you a solution. Most likely a component on the power board on the monitor is bad and needs to be replaced in order to work.

Where does the clicking noise come from? the monitor or the pc? This is important. If you figure that out I might just be able to help you.

What is over heating is the power supply. You dont have to necessarily buy a new one. It can be fixed. Just changing one part. If you are going to be throwing it away, can i recycle it. I have the parts to fix it. Donate to someone in need.

There is a great possibility that your resolution or refresh rates are set too high for the monitor to display properly... boot the computer in safe mode and change the resolution and refresh rates to a lower setting or the recomended setting for the monitor.. 73 and good luck.

When I switch on my computer, Windows XP start loading and then my Samsung Samtron 45Bn monitor's screen goes blank and the green light keeps flashing every 0.5 secs.

It sounds like your video is set to the wrong resolution. Try booting into safe mode by pressing F12 at the start of the boot process. If you get into windows that way, then adjust the display to something you monitor can display like 1024x728@32bits. The monitor can only display a certain amount of pixels and if you set the video card to high you will lose visual. Hope this helps.

Samtron 55e computer desktop, monitor screen is pink and then with the blue coded plug that goes in back of tower is on it turns black and then when i take the blue colored coded plug out the screen turns...

Samtron (a former subsidiary of Samsung) as an entity no longer exists, and I have been unable to find any legitimate links to archived support documentation.

The symptoms you describe indicate that the monitor has failed. One way to verify this is to connect another, known good monitor to the same output on your computer. If that other monitor works, then yours does not and it is not the computer's output that is bad.

Looks like time for a new monitor.

Hope that's helpful.

I can not adjust the resolution in my samtron 55v i run xp on my pc

In Xp right click on the desktop and select Properties->Settings->Resolution. Here you will get all the options that the combination of your display adapter and monitor can take. select any that you want and Windows will show to the new resolution and ask you if you like it. Accept if you like it else Cancel it and select one lower or higher till you are satisfied. Go up one notch at a time.

Sync out Of range

You need to get the monitor back into a range it can use and the best way is to go into SAFE mode on the pc put it back into 640X 480 and at 60 hz refresh rate. 37.9khz is way too high for the monitor!
It is best in the 60hz to 80 hz (if it can go that high!) start at 60 to begin with and it will work.
Good Luck!

Computer not recognizing moniter

Resolution set too high for display.

Attach TUBE monitor, Start Windows, change resolution to 1024x768 (MAX) and then hit APPLY/OK.

Also check refresh rate, it is listed in hertz (hz) in advanced settings. Should be 70-72khz not faster than either.

Shut down PC, Connect LCD, you should have a decent picture.
