Cannot get New Wii to work.

I get an error message. An error has occurred. Press the Eject Button and remove the disc, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help troubleshooting. I have done that a dozen times with no success. It sounds like it is having trouble reading the disc. I only have 2 discs and have tried both and I get the same message everytime. Can you help me please?

Thanks,
Jerri

I would take it back and have them replace it. However if that is not an option send it to Nintendo for replacement under the warrenty.

Error message error occurred. press the eject button and remove the disc. turn the power off and follow the instructions in the console manual.

First turn the Wii console power OFF, and remove the AC adapter's AC plug from the power socket. Next, check wheather the disc is dirty or scratched. If it is dirty, gently wipe with a soft cloth from the center to the outside. Wait about 5 minutes. Then plug the AC adapter's AC plug back into the power socket and turn the console power on.

If the same message still appears, the Wii console may be damaged. Turn the Wii console off immediately. Remove the AC adapter's AC plus from the plug, and visit support.nintendo.com for additional troubleshooting or call 1-800-255-3700.

Loading a disc causes wii to display an error

Hello!

This means you will either need a new laser or a new drive inside of your nintendo Wii.

Quick Fix: You can open up your nintendo Wii and clean the laser.

OR

You can send it in for repair. Its a very quick repair and should be back out to you in a jippy.

We are getting an error message everytime we load a disc

Hi,

Try the following options.

1:) Soft Reset:- Press the reset button on the Wii console For 2 seconds.
2:) Hard Reset. :- Unplug The Wii Console For 5-10 Minutes. As once unplugged it resets itself.
3:) use a CD/DVD Based laser head cleaning disk, to remove any dirt/dust from the laser unit.

The official troubleshooting from Nintendo is-

"Error Occurred. Press the Eject button and remove the disc"
This indicates a problem with the Wii console and it will need to be repaired. Please call 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available options.

Wii console error

Is it just one game that does this? Does it happen in the middle of a game or right away? Is the game an import?

I would call Nintendo on this one.
