Resetting the v-chip password so i can remove it and watch all that i want

When a red key appears in the lower left corner of your Apex television screen, the set's V-chip is engaged, preventing you from watching restricted content. You can override parental controls and reset your television's pass code with your remote.
Parental Lock

1. The Apex prompts you to enter a 4-digit code when you set up parental controls. You can block programs according to their MPAA ratings or their content designations, such as V for violence or S for ****** situations.

Disabling the Lock

1. You can override parental controls on most Apex models by simultaneously pressing the F and mute buttons on the remote control. If you own Apex models GT2011J or GT2011S, hold the remote's display button for ten seconds. The red key will vanish and the V-chip will unblock your program.

Override Codes Apex's default parental lock control code is 6688, so if you haven't set a new code, entering 6688 will remove the red key and unblock your program. If you've set a new password and forgotten it, entering 3308 will reset the code and unblock your program.

i have an insignia hdtv and the manual says if you forgot the password, enter in 3448 in the password box to reset, it might be the same for yours, good luck

Combo Model T25208, V-Chip Forgotten Password
If you forget your password, simultaneously press VOLUME down on the TV/VCR front panel and the 0 number button on the remote for a few seconds. This resets the password and you can enter a new one.

Channels that have been locked can be viewed only when the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to OFF. This can only be done with the remote control-it can not be changed with the buttons on the front of the TV.

Therefore, after you turn on PARENTAL CTRL, you simply hide the remote control so that your children can not watch the locked channels. The locked-out channels will remain unviewable even if the TV is unplugged or the channels are autoprogrammed again. The CHAN CTRL setting will change from NORMAL to LOCKED when that channel is locked. To return the channel to NORMAL, press the - button. Repeat step 2 for each channel you want to lock. If the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to ON while you are locking out channels, each channel will go blank as you lock it. When the PARENTAL CTRL function is set to ON and a channel which has been locked out is tuned, the TV will display the words PARENTAL CONTROL to let your kids know you have locked it.

If the front panel function buttons don't work, (menu, ch up/dn etc.) but the functions work normal with the remote, enter the "Channel" menu with the remote and turn "Parental Control" off.

If you forget your password, you can reset it. Enter 5898 as the password and then change it to a new one.

6. Press the button to highlight NEW PASSWORD, and use the number buttons on the remote to enter
the new password. Enter it again in the confirm field to confirm the new password.

The master password is 4737.

I finally found out how to reset the V-chip password on this princess DT1350-P Tv. All you have to do is turn the TV on and turn to a channel that doesn't prompt the V-chip password (even if it's snowy) and hold down the volume (down -) button on the main unit while holding down the number "0" on the remote control. It might take a few tries, and you might need to change the TV channel for some reason but if done correctly, either the TV will turn off, or the menu screen will pop up and ask if you want to set the vchip password, either way you should be able to watch your TV now! :)

When there is a parental code, you have to ring up your tv service provider for the code.
