I believe that controls the tempurature of the fridge. I was looking for a separate control for the freezer?

    Thanks,

Hy i have a problem with my fridge freezer , the fridge compartment is acting like a freezer going up to -16

There is normally an adjustment knob inside the fridge, in the back or top to allow you to adjust the coldness. Numbered 1-9.
If you have already adjusted that it would help if I know the type (side by side, freezer on top or below) and the brand. Most side by sides blow some of the air from the freezer side into the fridge side with internal fans and vents. How is the freezer side coldness knob adjusted?
I would set both knobs to 5 and go get yourself a outdoor thermometer to put in each side. It should be about 35 in the fridge and about zero in the freezer. Remember it will be warmer in the top and colder in the bottom of each.
Was the thermostat you replaced in the freezer or fridge?

My Inglis fridge is not working properly..the freezer works fine but the fridge is not cooling

Can you do some testing of the compressor start components for me? If yes the you will need a test meter to test the compressor windings. This way I can see just what parts you may need and I can explain what to do. First look around the fresh food section door for as model number. Send me the model number by posting the model number here on Fixya. Here is a link to Refrigerator Troubleshooting and at the bottom of that page there is a how to test the compressor for a defective start relay. Here is a Refrigerator-Troubleshooting-Guide If you have any questions please ask and I will be glad to assist you, Thanks Sea Breeze

Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

6 yr old side by side inglis fridge/freezer. water

can be from an obstruction (i.e. food or debris) or incomplete defrost. water forms around the drain during defrost cycle and ices up when cooling cycle comes on. defrost the drain and try installing a heat probe part#819043 made by whirlpool.its a metal rod that wraps around the heater and goes into the drain opening to prevent the drain from icing up. hope this helps.

My freezer works perfect but everything in the refrigerator doesn't get cold enough. My milk sours. My fridge is an inglis and supposedly brand new

Warm fridge cold freezer problem fixed
In the freezer section there was a one screw removable panel which housed a four bladed rotary fan. One blade had broken off adn was jamming the fan from rotating. Once the broken part was removed the fan was free to rotate, but out of balance, but it did get the fridge going again. It took about one minute to replace the fan once a spare was aquired. Now I understand how it works, if one side of your fridge freezer is not working it can only be the air movement or lack of it Robert
