My first question would be: is there a hose clamp? If there is, and it is tight, then I can not imagine it coming loose. I hope this helps.

It's the asm. that connects to the kitchen sink faucet. It was working, but now it slips off under pressure.

First I thought you were talking about the drain hose. Is this a portable dish washer that uses a quick coupling? If so, make sure there is nothing inside the coupling that prevents it from sliding all the way on to the faucet end. Sometimes a little vaseline will help. There are three or four balls, spring loaded, that need to slip into a groove on the "male" part on the faucet. If the spring that is supposed to push the balls into the groove is broke, obviously the balls can not "grab" the faucet end. If it is very old, maybe it is just worn out. You should be able to get replacements for both pieces.

Hi Gerald, I'm assuming you have the adapter on, so check the bearings inside the unit and make sure they aren't frozen in place, a little WD40 will loosen them so they don't stick, and use a small prod to get them moving again. It could also be the adapter itself has worn out it's useful life, they are relatively inexpensive, so replacing that could also be an option. Hope this helps, Please rate and comment Thank You Joe

These are small plastic pieces that are used to hold the pipe connecter asm to the sink faucet.

It surely sounds like the connector on the sink itself is the problem, it is pretty inexpensive, so I would try replacing that. There is a groove or lip on it that grips the unit that attaches to it.

Need to adjust timming on 91 ford mustang

pull the spout connector (a grey jumper located in the engine wiring harness either near the code reader port or the distributor) and put a timing light on the #1 spark plug wire. Aim the light at the pointer near the 10-o'clock position on the harmonic balancer (looking aft) while the engine is running and rotate the distributor until you see the pointer aiming at 8-10* BTDC. Don't forget to put the spout connector back in when you're done or else the computer won't be able to automatically advance the timing.

Can't remove the spout of a Kohler K-15176 faucet to get to the O-rings to replace them. The spout seems to be frozen and can't twist or lift it off.

The "o" rings are swelled up and causing it to be frozen. After you remove faucet handle and Collar that holds main body on, you may put some penetrating oil like 3 in 1 oil around sides and wait 5 minutes, next it takes all elbow grease to try and twist and turn to break the "o" rings and free it up to remove. It has to be forced and may take some strength, but it will come up.

How do I tighten the base on my Delta kitchen faucet? It is like the Lewiston, just a round base sitting on the sink with a pull-out spout. Do I need to remove the water lines to take this thing apart...

There should be a nut and washer clear up against the bottom of the counter top. I think the clip you are looking at holds the spout hose to the diverter assembly. You need to look beyond that to see the nut you are looking for. I could be mistaken, but every one of this type of faucet I have seen mounts this way including Delta. It is not easy, there is no room to work up there but it can be done. The best way is with a large basin wrench (a sort of swivel-head jaw on a rod) but with some perseverance and possibly a colorful word or two it can be done with a large pair of slip-jaw pliers too, I've done it.

Water is leaking around base of "spout" and

If you have properly replaced the diverter assembly, there is either a problem with valve or debris was left in the valve from old diverter when new diverter was installed. Disassemble diverter by pulling spout back off. remove new diverter and check valve. Cup your hand over faucet and turn cold water handle on to attempt to flush any debris left behind. Try several times then reassemble. If this doesn't do the trick then replace. Get a quality filtering system and take care of your new faucet by making sure it's dry and polished after use. You won't be replacing your fixtures as often from calcium and corrosion.

How do I tighten a Delta kitchen faucet that has become loose?

If it is faucet body on sink loose under sink there should be screws and a plate or washers holding it sink. Tighten them up.

Some have a bolt or nut in the middle requiring a socket to tighten.

If the spout is loose remove handle and it has a plastic ring on top to tighten spout up.
