Hi megriffin1,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

You want to know what to do if the d/w won't start?

You're on the right track but first lets check the breakers (fuses). If good then check the connection at the d/w. It's under the d/w behind the kick plate under a cover box. 9 times out of 10 you'll find a loose or burnt connection there. That done, it's time to call in warranty repair.

How to fix a bosh dishwasher with E 01 code

The E01 error may mean that the water flow into the washer is restricted or that the flow meter is not reading correctly. Sometimes the control board near the washer inlet is faulty and can't read the signal from the flow meter or send that message to the control panel.

First check your shut-off for the dishwasher and make sure that it is open. Next turn the valve off and disconnect the inlet hose. Connect a new hose to the valve and position a bucket under the hose. Open the valve and check the water flow. If you have good water flow, try connecting this new hose to the inlet of the dishwasher. (Unplug the dishwasher. For an under-cabinet dishwasher, you'll need to pull the washer out. Make sure to keep the discharge hose from pulling loose. Then disconnect the old hose from the fitting and connect the new hose instead. Then slide the washer carefully back into place without pinching the hoses or cables.)

If you add a comment with the model number, I may be able to give more specific directions and replacement part information. Of course, if the dishwasher is under warranty, contact Bosch.

I hope this helps.

If you have water for washing the dishes and only the rinse water will not flow then the problem is likely a defective timer control. The timer send signals to the washer for all of its basic function to start and stop. Bad timers are a common problem, especially with an older machine, but they can also go bad in a new machine. f the dishwasher is under warranty follow the warranty service steps to get local free repair. Otherwise you may have to purchase and install a new timer yourself or hire someone to do this at an appliance shop.

My Bosch is only a few months old and it won't drain the water. The filter is fine. It's a shea43p16uc60.

Your bosch washer should still be under warranty:

  • Limited warranty, entire appliance, parts and labor (1 year)
  • Limited warranty for non-electronic components; parts only (1st to 2nd year)
  • Limited warranty for control board (microprocessor); parts only (1st to 2nd year)
  • Limited warranty for motor or any component of the motor (1st year to 10th year)

Maytag dishwasher/two months old/packets that came with the dishwasher not disolving/on bottom of dishwasher??

Has this been a problem from the beginning? Is your hot water the correct temperature as specified in your manual? Please check this.

To check whether your dishwasher is heating water, please just feel the outside of the washer when running and notice whether there is steam after the cycle.

Usually one tab goes in the washer itself and a second one in the little dispenser in the door.

Your Dishwasher is still under warranty, so you need to call a Maytag repairman for help if these simple suggestions do not work.

I have a bosch dishwasher and it is showing an E24 fault code. Any idears?

Error code 24 for a bosch dishwasher is either a bad pump or a plugged drain or airgap. This is where your washer connects to the plumbing system. If you are under warranty have it fixed if not I would start by seeing if your system and make sure it isn't plugged first. After that it could be the pump has failed.

Hope this helps

The faceplate sometimes does not respond when I touch it, or if it does It may not let me cahgne the settings... Plus when the lights do come on the dishwasher won't start when I press the start button. ...

I also own a ADB1500AWB. The switch membrane failed within 30 days of purchase. It was replaced under warranty. The technician said this part fails very often. I bought an extended warranty.
It failed again on 9/3. As of 10/13, the part is still on back order.

In any case, buy the longest extended warranty possible. Good luck.

I have an MDB760 dishwahser making a lot of noise

The pump is not turned on when the what is sloshed around. It is the wash motor which turns the arms around. It is likely something is stuck under the washer arms or the washer motor bearing is faulty.

If the dishwasher is only about 2 years old, I would suggest you call Maytag for warranty service. Depending on the part they will have different warranty time period. Normally 2 years should be a general policy .

Lights flash but wont start

If the dishwasher is still under warranty, best thing will be to conntact for manufacturer service !! The problem you describe could be cause off : * A Defective switch level that doesn't "shows" that there is enough water in the dishwather and therefore will prevent program's advance. * A defective heater- If water will not reach need temperature it will prevent program's advance as well. * Defective timer - Dishwasher's heart. In case your washer is over its warranty period and you would like to solve your problem by yourself, let me know and I will instruct you step by step how to to find the defective part and how to fix it. Good luck !
