Hi,
Please perform the following steps.
This error message appears because the security certificate was issued by the University itself and not by an authority acknowledged by Microsoft.
To solve this problem, for most webpages you just have to install the "CA Certificate" of Ghent University in your browser.
For certain websites, such as https://zephyr.ugent.be, you need to import its own certificate:
Click on "Certificate Error" next to the IE7 address bar and then "View certificates"
Click on "Install certificate..."
Click "Next"
You will be asked where the certificate has to be stored. You can use the default setting and click "Next".
Click "Finish"
Confirm by clicking "Yes"
On your next visit, you will not see the error message again. Hopefully it should work.. Thank you

Hello connoldj,
Add the website to your "Trust Sites" in Internet Options Properties.  Then try getting into your emails again.
Hope this helps and good luck

Sec error expired certificate

This sounds like a "Security Certificate" issue, preventing access to a secured server or website. If that is correct you wil need your security or certificate provider (vendor) to update or re-issue your certificate to allow access to this site. Usually these types of sites are Education, Government, Business-2-Business "Clouds", 3rd Partty Access apps for resellers of IT/Telephony, HR/CRM or financial. A certificate will not be hard to acquire should you have a valid reason.

Hope this helps!

How to Reactivate a Disabled Facebook Account

Facebook have quite the draconian usage policy and at any point in time you might find yourself the proud owner of a disabled Facebook account. Do not despair for there are ways to reactivate your account without having to re-create a different one.

disabled-590x135.png
The Dreaded Account Disabled Message
All you have to do is send an email to moz-screenshot.pngdisabled@facebook.com inquiring about the reason that they disabled your account for (usually it's a hater reporting your profile to be in violation of the EULA of Facebook) and explain your willingness to remove the violating content and if it was just a "clerical error" to reactivate your account.
Other accounts to "CC" in your email:
  • moz-screenshot.pnginfo@facebook.com
  • appeals@facebook.com
That usually does the job of getting your account back within a period of 2-5 days, depending on whether you actually had a violation or not, doesn't that sound more like a country's court system than a websites usage violation?

Most common reasons for Account disabling?
  • Porn
  • Showing too much cleavage if you are a women but men can almost get away with anything - love the commitment to the status quo of society!
  • Adding too many friends, too quickly, getting a warning for it and ignoring it.
  • Spamming
  • You didn't use your real name that is on your birth certificate!
  • Browsing too much of Facebook too often, mostly due to apps like Snap2Face and others like it.
  • and many many more!

I want to make daughters account in fb but i cant everytime i click sign up it says sorry ur uneligible to do it

You need to first sign up for a EMAIL ACCOUNT. So first sign up for an email account and then log in to the facebook account using this email account/ID to enter the details. YOU MUST BE LOGGED OUT OF YOUR OWN EMAIL ACCOUNT or else it will be seen as an error for a second account.

Certificate error on web site.

This is basically an Internet Explorer 7 Website’s Security Certificate problem! You have to self-sign the certificate on the client computer or add the URL manually to the trusted security zone. When you are trying to access a secure web page, you receive the warning message:

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was not issued by a trusted certificate authority."

Or

"Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept data you send to the server."

To fix this issue, you can follow either of the methods:

Method 1:

You have to install the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 (Windows SBS) self-signed certificate on the client computer. To do this, follow these steps:

  • In Windows Internet Explorer 7, click Continue to this website (not recommended).
A red Address Bar and a certificate warning appear.
  • Click Certificate Error button to open the information window.
  • Click View Certificates > click Install Certificate.
  • Click Yes, to install the certificate, when warning message appear.

Note: For Windows Vista users, right click on Internet Explorer icon. Select Run as Administrator.

Method 2:

Add the URL to the Trusted Sites security zone:

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Go to Menu bar > Tools > Internet Options.

    tool.jpg
  • Click Security > Trusted sites > Sites

    sec.jpg
  • Type the URL in the Add this website to the zone text box > uncheck Require server verification >Add > click OK

    trust.jpg
  • Click OK to exit.

Now you have added the URL successfully into the Trusted Sites security zone.

Server Error 553, ErrorNumber 0x800CCC78

(Outlook Express) Email is not configured to relay mail to address
Try this settings:

Outlook Express
  1. Click Tools then Accounts
  2. Click Mail
  3. Click Properties
  4. Click Servers
  5. In the Account Name field, it should be the first part of your email address (probably it's like this already).
  6. Put a checkmark by My Server Requires Authentication at the bottom of the page.
  7. Click Settings
  8. Select Log on Using
    • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
    • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
  9. Click Apply
  10. Click OK
  11. Click Close
This should fix the Outlook Express to send email, close Outlook Express and re-open it to start sending mail.

Microsoft Outlook
  1. Click Tools then Email Accounts (Accounts and Services on older versions of Outlook)
  2. Click View and Change and Click Next (skip if it opens up to the account screen)
  3. Click Change or Properties of your Email Account
  4. Click More Settings
  5. Click Outgoing Server
  6. Check My Server Uses Authentication
  7. Select Log on Using
    • Type Account Name (which will be your full email address)
    • Type Password (which will be your email address password)
  8. Click OK
  9. Click Next
  10. Click Finish

This should fix the Outlook to send email. Close Outlook and re-open it to start sending mail.

Certificate errors

This is simply letting you know that comcast.net has not updated or chosen to participate in a certificate program that microsoft uses.  It is nothing to worry about with your email site.  If you go to unknown websites I recommend that you do not continue if you get this warning.  Only way to get rid of it is to reduce your protection on the internet which I would not recommend.

When I click on my mail icon, I get this message: the security certificate presented by the website has expired or not yet valid.

Yes if it's a web based email server then you will have to "accept this certificate" to access your email from within your Browser.
