I'm trying to connect to remote desktop but it says my server is too busy,or network problems might be the problem

You could check the firewall on your computer and the computer that you want to access,
sometimes anti virus could interfere with this also.

This error corresponds to an error in a modem or any other connecting device
Try the folloging the instructions below:
If this is a dial-up connection, and you are using a supported external modem, turn off and then restart the modem. Close and restart Network and Dial-up Connections, and then redial. If the problem persists, try connecting at a lower initial speed. See To change the maximum modem port speed. Make sure you correctly configured your modem for remote access. To check your configuration, see To configure a connection. If this is a virtual private network (VPN) connection, you might have specified an incorrect TCP/IP address in the connection configuration, or the server that you are trying to reach might not be available. To determine if the server is available, see your system administrator.

How do i connect this terminal to windows 2003 server please give me the settings


Open Remote Desktop Connection loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); To open Remote Desktop Connection, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection.


Create a Terminal Services Connection loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); To create a Terminal Services connection, follow these steps:
  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection.
  2. In the Computer box, type the computer name or the IP address of a terminal server or a computer that has Remote Desktop enabled.
    Note: To connect to the console session of the remote computer, type computername or IP address /console.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. In the Log On to Windows dialog box, type your user name, password, and domain (if necessary), and then click OK.

Save Connection Settings loadTOCNode(2, 'summary'); You can save a connection as a Remote Desktop protocol (.rdp) file. An .rdp file contains all the information for a connection to a terminal server, including the Options settings that were configured when the file was saved. You can customize any number of .rdp files, including files for connecting to the same server with different settings. For example, you can save a file that connects to MyServer in full screen mode and another file that connects to the same computer in 800×600 screen size.

To save your connection settings, follow these steps:
  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection, and then click Options.
  2. Specify the connection settings that you want for this connection.
  3. On the General tab, click Save As.

  3. Click the Local Resources tab, select the Disk Drives check box, and then click Connect.

Cannot detect other printer in remote desktop connection


Hello my friend, regarding on your problem kindly check your system particularly your windows 2008 server OS. Kind reinstall the printer drivers then then shared it. Then after you share the printers kindly check the ip address of your windows server 2008 OS then go to the workstation Computer then click start button found in your task bar manager then click run. Then kindly type the "\\IP of your windows server 2008" where your printer drivers installed then enter. As soon as you can log in the Windows server 2008 menu environment then if you can find or see the printer icon then click the printers icon then right click then click connect. Let the system automatically installed the printer driver to your workstation computer. then as soon as your system finished installed the printer drivers then try to run and print if you can now print using network LAN.

Open up the vpn client any any of the working machine, and then

click on

file>>save Prfoile>>give a name

Take a copy of that and paste it in your machine.

On your machine install the vpn client (Straight Forward Installation). Then

Click on Import Profile , Identify the location where you have pasted the profile (Which is copied from other machine).

You are done with that.

Windows Vista home + Windows XP Professional Networking issue


Make sure domain settings to your server are correct on the notebook computer. These settings are located in the control panel of the system setting.

Whats the operating system of your server?

Make sure the firewall in windows security is turned off too. Sometimes that thing sneaks up on you.

I haven't used the home edition of Vista but another reason why it might not be working is because it isn't the business version. Microsoft might have added extra security to prevent the home version from connecting to a server. I know we use the business version of Vista at work and it is working that way on the intranet server without a problem.

I would check with Microsofts website on that.

You need to forward the remote desktop port to your server. The Remote Desktop port is 3389. Go to the port forwarding section of your router and find out your Server's network IP address and assign it to forward the Remote Desktop port of "3389". Save your changes and try connecting again.
