Take the food out of the freezer, shut down the machine or just unplug it,get a hair dryer and hit the tracks and check the ceiling where the light is,usually ice builds up there to if the door was left open.also blow the air at the back wall, the air ducts could have froze up and the fridge will get warm, all it does is there's a fan in the freezer and it blows cold air from the freezer up and into the fridge section, sometimes depending on how long the door was open is the air ducts freeze and the fan can't blow the air up into the fridge, the tracks shold melt out fast then wipe them down but i would hit the back wall for a while until you don't see any water dripping down through the slots in the back wall, should take you no more than around 30 to 40 minutes to do this, hope this helps and good luck.

How do I remove the freezer door on a Samsung French door refrigerator

Answer: don't . Take all of the food out, then take the bin out of the bottom and work like that. Never take the doors off unless you have to. There are two white clips located on the rails you can push in if you really want to take the door out but it is a hassle sometimes. Push the clips in with a Phillips and slowly pull the interlocking rails out. Two Phillips screws hold in the ice maker in the front and you pull out the whole ice maker. You plug in the new one and make sure the slides in the back line up, screw the new one in and you're done. You can I just personally don't remove the door for this 5 minute job. Hold the button on the bottom to test cycle the ice maker. Checks ok. Then unplug and plug the fridge back in. This will clear potential future stored error codes.

Freezer is all frozen

One solution:
This can happen if door has been left open. To solve:

Red light on for High Freezer Temperature Warning
or freezer not cooling, but fridge is and a lot of noise from compressor.
Also, fridge drain hole blocked, water in bottom of fridge.

This is a common fault in Hotpoint Fridge Freezers and can also happen if the door has been left open or has been a power cut.

1. Turn off fridge freezer, or at least turn down the freezer temp to minimum, though not ideal.
2. Open freezer door and remove all drawers.
3. Remove the back panel on the inside of the freezer. This is held in place with 4 screws, which might be 6mm hex head or star allen head. Pull the panel out.
4. Behind where the panel was, there is a cooling element for cooling, pipes, and below this a temperature sensor. If the fridge freezer is not switched off, then fold together a few layers of tinfoil and wrap around the sensor.
5. Use a hairdryer to slowly melt the ice. Melt it around areas where it appears to be hanging on, such as the corners of the cooling element or bolts, as well as any thin sections below the main block of ice around the cooling element, which will be supporting the main block. Use a plastic ice scraper to remove ice but not near pipes or sensor.
Warning: Be careful using electrics around water & melting ice & drips.
6. Below the cooling element, there is a drip channel & drain hole. If this hole is full of ice, pour a small amound of warm water down, leave for 10 seconds and pour a bit more until clear.
In the fridge, clear the drain hole in the same way.
Warning: Do not pour a lot of water down, as this water drains onto a tray above the hot compressor at the rear of the fridge freezer to be evaporated by the heat of the compressor and the tray will only hold a small amount.
7. When all ice is removed, dry all moisture. Put the shelves back. Close door. Turn on fridge freezer. Turn up the freezer temperature to your normal setting. Turn on fast freeze if available. After 1 hour, check with a thermometer. It should be cold enough after 1 or 2 hours.

Samsung rf266aepn bottom french door ice maker arm

Simple but a pain. Unplug the refrigerator. Get out your hair dryers and start de-icing the freezer door. Slowly but surly you will get freezer open. Be gentle. Dry EVERYTHING!!! Tracks, rails.....then replace part, plug back in, restock.

Glide rails on kenmore bottom drawer freezer keep freezing up

I suspect that you've got a leaky ice maker. Do you have clumps of ice in the bin, too? Many times, replacing the ice maker will solve the problem.

Kitchenaid kbfs25ewms2 freezer leaking water

Normally I would agree a water line is the issue however on this particular fridge this is not the case. If you open the freezer door, notice the placement of your hand. Unless it is dead center of the handle this is the cause of the problem and what I believe is a major design flaw. Depending if left or right handed, every time the door is opened the metal tracks that hold the door are being bent. If you remove the bottom freezer basket you will notice the back support bar that is attached to the metal rails is not longer straight. What ends up happening is, certain times when the door is pushed closed it seals completely and other times it does not. The times it does not, there is inch gap between the rubber seal on the door and the fridge itself(left or right side). The freezer warms up and items start to melt. As the cycle of freeze and thaw continues you end up with the entire basin full of ice. Eventually when the door does not shut properly and the ice melts it has nowhere to go expect your floor. This is why sometime you will have a pool of water and sometimes you won't but it always leak from a corner. Learned this first hand and ending up ruining 30sq of hardwood floor

Freezer door won't open

There is no lock. More than likely the Door is off track and needs to be reset or ice has set up in the track ceaseing the rails up. In any case this isn't easy you need to get your bottommount freezer door pulled open you may have to use some force and be very careful not to brake it there is alot of plastic. Once you get the door completely out of freezer unclip the rails from the plastice rails and reset the two gears (evenly) to make door shut right. Push metal rails all the way back to you hear a click. Then reverse steps to install freezer door.
