The cable from your monitor must connect to the Monitor port (middle and right on picture). Be CAREFULL not to force the connection. The cable only fits one way and you can damage the pins if you force it. If it won't plug in easily, then rotate the plug 180 degrees and try again.

If your connection seems inadequate, you may have bent one of the pins. If you suspect a bent pin, look into the end of the connector on the cable to see if one or more of the gold colored pins are bent. You can straighten the pins yourself with a needle-nosed pliers or a small blade screw driver use gently, otherwise try to get a replacement monitor cable.

I need to add more cooling to Emachines T5212 - Electircal Diagram

The manufacturer is the best source for a diagram for your machine. However, most cooling fans are three prong plugs, some are two or four, and most motherboards label these connections right on the motherboard. So, if you look at the motherboard and find a three prong connection that says something like CPU_FAN, CHA_FAN1 (Chassis Fan 1), CHA_FAN2, etc you are good to go.

Need wiring connection diagram for Power Switch to Motherboard for EMachine W2925 model. Wires were disconected accidentally while cleaning inside of tower

micha219, the eMachines W2925 desktop computer uses an FIC motherboard.
First International Computer { Inc }
The Model Number of the FIC motherboard is VC37.

Disregard the following if you are aware:
The plastic front of your computer is the Front Panel.
The area on the Motherboard that the cables (Wires) from the Front Panel connect to, is the Front Panel header.

Processor to the Top, Ram Memory slots to the Right, the Front panel header is in the Bottom Right corner.

It is a rectangular shape with two columns of pins.
The length goes up, and down on the motherboard.

The pins on the Right side of the Front Panel header are numbered Odd.
The pins on the Left side of the Front Panel header are numbered Even.

There are 4 pins on the Left side.
There are 5 pins on the Right side.

Starting at the Bottom on the Right side going Up;
Pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9.

Starting at the Bottom on the Left side going Up;
Pins 2, 4, 6, and 8.

A) Pins 2 and 4 are for the Power On LED light.
(If after connecting the LED light is dim, reverse the wires)

B) Pins 6 and 8 are for the Power On switch. (Power On button)

C) Pins 1 and 3 are for the HarDDrive Activity LED light.

D) Pins 5 and 7 are for the Reset switch. (Reset button. IF used)

Pin 9 is NC. Not connected

First check the power cable which is giving power to the pc (you can use a tester). If it's ok then look at the smps fan. If fan not working then change your smps. In case fan is working properly then check the cpu fan. If cpu fan not working properly. Then just power your pc on carefully listen for any beeps and kindly let me know the number of beeps whether long or short and your bios model and make. So that I can help you out further.

I need to place a wire on a push button switch for a computer that has 6 poles. Of the red and white wires, the red one is soldered to the bottom right pole. The white one came off and I don't see an...

Im not sure what your switch looks like, however you could hold the wire on each post and hit the switch and see if it works. If not try putting it on another spot and try again. You wont short anything out or anything like that. It just will or wont work. This is how you can tell which spot the wire should be on.

I replace the mother board and now the pc will not power on. I replaced on the power supply wires back to the original place where they were before on the old motherboard. What do you think?

Did you get all the wires coming from the front panel in the right spots. Most motherboards manufacturers have a diagram on where these wires need to go on the motherboard connector. They also need to be in the right polarity.

Intel d845hv board problems

This is not a problem with the wires. This is a failure of the motherboard and/or powersupply.

Try the following:

  1. Take any components that are not necessary to boot the computer1.gif. Try turning it on again
  2. Try taking all parts (motherboard, power supply) out of the case and then put them back in (I know that sounds weird, but it has worked twice for me before).
  3. If you get to this step, either the motherboard of power supply is shot. The easiest to try would be a power supply. Replace it if you have one laying around or borrow one out of another machine for troubleshooting purposes. This is assuming they are standard ATX power supplies.
  4. Place your finger on the heatsink for the chipset1.gif. Feel around for any extremely hot chips. If you find this, your Bios is shot. If you cannot locate the bios chip, just feel all the chips. The Bios chip should be mildly warm but never HOT!
