Question about Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 Web Camera
I have a problem with my new webcam. My webcam has a built in microphone and my Packard Bell Desktop Pc IMAX X3414 also has built in speakers but when i am on a live video call i can't hear the other person and they cant hear me. My pc's software is Windows Vista and i dont know anything about the settings because it's very different from Windows 98 & XP 2000. Im not sure if it's the settings can you help?
Right Click the volume icon in the taskbar.
Select RECORDING DEVICES, Select the device you wish to use. Click properties.
Ensure it says ENABLE (use this device).
Then Click the ADVANCED TAB at the top and make sure it is set to "ALLOW APPLICATIONS TO TAKE CONTROL OF THIS DEVICE".
Then open the Messenger software you use and click the tool tab. Then click the Cam/Audio option.
Make sure you have the correct mic/cam selected.
