my combined 32" Sansui tv/dvd has developed a fault. It has a thin red vertical line about a quarter of the way across the screen. Any idea how to fix it/ what is wrong?

- Thanks for your help. It was only 2 weeks old, so I've returned it to the store. they should either fix or replace under warranty. Best wishes LES
Usualy a problem with the LCD screen itself, that takes replacing the whole screen to fix. Sorry.
Could also be an internal connector that has gone bad. There are tiny transistors on most displays that control whole rows and columns. It sounds like one went bad, causing a dead, or constant on, column. Unless you are REALLY handy, it will probably need to go to a service center for repair, which could be very expensive.
Try flexing your screen - wrap a non-fibrous cloth around your hand and squeeze the screen lightly all around the edge. If you find a point where squeezing the screen makes things better or worse, explore that point further. Squeeze just hard enough to make a white area go light grey or yellow. It's safe to squeeze gently with something fluffy when the computer is turned-on.
Could be a cable problem - either the cable is not making a good connection at one end, or the cable itself may have been crushed and one of the lines in it broken. Replacing the cable is far cheaper than replacing the display.

Hello,
I removed the bottom stand so I can mount the tv on the wall. I still have all the pieces but I was wondering if there was a schematic somewhere to show where everything goes back in and I can put the stand back on. I can not drill into my new walls and want to stand it back up.
