Tv/vcr combo wrong cable channels

This could be one of two problems, either the TV tuner card is set up to accept the wrong type of signals (which normally can be changed in the menu of the television) or the card isn't capable of translating the signal (with most cable companies going over to digital signals with their boxes translating the signals over.) My suggestion is to check to make sure the proper signal type is set in your menu (if in fact this is even an option for this particular television) and if that doesn't work get a generic analog digital cable box. 

There are two settings for reception, one is a VHF/UHF setting for an antenna/over-the-air while the other is a cable setting, the two are not interchangeable. The only channels that the two settings have in common are the VHF channels from 2-13. You will need to access the menu setting and change it to Cable instead of Antenna.
