"7" Key The "7" key prints two lines rather than a 7. It works fine for the "&" sign. Any suggestions?

You probably have the "7" spoke broken off the P/W. Replace it.

I have a Swintec 8016 that doesn't have a "print" key. How do I print stored files?

Hi Linda, Once upon a time, I worked on Swintec typewriters. When you speak of printing do you mean to an external printer or just allowing the thy writer to to type out of memory? What kind of printer, what type of external port. Did it ever work? With what printer? I,m not familiar with this particular typewriter , give me as much info as you can , I mean anything you can think of . The smallest detail can tip the scale. You stated there is no print key, that tells me there must be an alternative way to print. let me know what you find out. If you can take a picture of the plug ports on the back and the keyboard, in this case a picture is worth more than words! Good luck. Bret... My lower case e shows vertical lines, the upper case is fine as are all other keys

The lower case "e" spoke on the print wheel is either bent or broken. If it's bent you may be able to straighten it, if broken it needs replaced.

Type is faded and old looking even with new ribbon.

Put in a multi part form, if the carbons print well then try a fresh ribbon,. not one that has been sitting around for a long time. If it is bad check for debris around the print hammer, If its clean either the print solenoid is gummy or the solenoid cap is broken.

@ sign

Does it always print the same thing in place of the @ sign? If so you probably have a non standard printwheel.
