In order to fix this problem you will need to be able to use a meter and solder well. If you can do these let me know the model number and I will tell you what to check and what to replace. Otherwise you will need to call a repairman and he will charge anywhere form $300-$500 to do the job. Doing it yourself will cost less that $100 Let me know what you would like to do.

Sorry I missed the model number. You will need to check some pico fuses if you want to do this yourself. Let me know if you do and I will tell you where to look for them.

A meter is a Digitol multimeter. you will need to be able to read voltage and check OHMS, if you do not know what any of this is, you may not be able to do the repair. If you can find someone you know that can use a meter and do some checks we can move forward. Let me know.

Hi,
This is symptom of defective red picture tube in TV that needs to be replaced.
Let me know if you want to replace it by yourself to provide you part number info or call tv tech to do the job.
Thanks.

hello High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.

This may be nothing more than dirt, hair or dust on the picture tube magnifier glass ( you can clean this by opening the front and cleaning like you would a window glass) or it may be more serious like a high voltage divider control. I would suggest you try cleaning the tubes first and if it's not that, then seek qualified help. ( PS. Always unplug the set from the wall before working inside the set ).
I hope this has helped.

Blue Screen

You have a bad blue picture tube. If you replace it the red and green will be weak and probably go sooner than you think. Everytime I had to replace a tube in a sony projo tv i had to replace all 3 picture tubes at the same time. It's very expensive if you don't have any type of warranty coverage.
