Where is the housing for lamp replacement on the panaconic PT-50LC13 tv There is nothing in the manual. If I get to the housing I can easily replace the bulb. The back of the TV is off. I think I know where the housing is but not sure how to take it out. Can you direct me to a schematic?

Re: Can't locate housing
The lamp comes out the front of the tv. There is a rectagle pice of plastic on the front that pops off and then there is a lamp door about 8 inches left of center with one screw in it. take that one screw off so you can get to the lamp, then take the screw out of the lamp and it slides right out.

Replaced the Lamp, on my PT-50LC13 pan TV. But cannot reset the timer because the screen does not light up. and the instructions say to hold down the -Vol button and the pip button. But which one? there are 3 buttons with the word PIP
Without more information it is going to be hard to help you. I assume you mean the TV has a warning of lamp problems. Means you need to replace the lamp. Go to www.partstore.com and put in your sets information. You should be able to find the lamp you need. Get it. Your owners manual should tell you how to replace or at least where the lamp housing is. Open the housing, remove the old lamp, install the new lamp, close properly and you should be good to go. Let me know how it works out.
After lamp replacement, make sure that lamp cover is properly fixed on its location and if TV still does not turn On then it is ballast power supply issue, qualified TV tech will fix it. If you think you can repair ballast supply and have enough knowledge about TV repair, let me know to provide you technical info about that.
if the tv keps trying to turn on three times and later the lamp led stays steady red. (see owner's manual to replace the lamp process) the lamp is damaged. ones you open the lamp door and take the lamp out you can see the lamp damaged even before to buy it.
