Honestly, dude, just buy a new laptop. You'll be hard pressed to find a replacement motherboard (especially since the computer is out of it's service warranty period.) You might beable to find a working aspire 3502 on ebay that has a broken screen for like a hundred bucks or something, but ebay is no guarantee.

My cpu overheated and now my video,keyboard,mouse,and usbs wont work! Whats wrong with it. Do i need a new fan?

Why did it overheat? In cases where a CPU has overheated, it more likely you will need a new CPU. If you can get one. Does the fan run? Is there dust in or around the heatsink? Have you booted the PC? If so, does it start to boot? Does the operating system load up? Anything displayed on the screen? Any errors on bootup? Rgds, Dave.

Same thing happened to me. Luckily I had my motherboard disc and through device manager I reloaded all missing devices and drivers. You may be able to download your motherboard disc from manufacturers website, hope this helps

Acer 5100 motherboard problem.

To list all of the specifications for your Aspire here would take too much space.
You can download the manual directly from Acer for your 5100 series notebook. The manual will provide you all of its specifications. (Click on the link to open Acer's web site);
http://us.acer.com/acer/service.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&miu10einu24.current.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&sp=page15e&ctx2.c2att1=25&miu10ekcond13.attN2B2F2EEF=3750&CountryISOCtxParam=US&ctx1g.c2att92=453&ctx1.att21k=1&CRC=2054404012
Once the site opends click, Driver Download located at the left side.
Under, Select Product Family click Notebook. (Not Netbook)
In the next window click, Aspire.
In the third window scroll down & click on, Aspire 5100.
Click the Document button. Lastly, click on the white arror to download the manual. File named: AS5110_5100_3100-ENG-OLM_0616.zip
