Never no water in dehumdidifer to empty

I'd suggest you (1) make sure dehumifier is plugged in, (2) the circuit it's connected to is live (breaker not tripped and fuse not blown - this is easily tested by plugging in an appliance (e.g., hair dryer) you know works). If the unit turns on, it is likely defective - unless there is a hose connected to the dehumidifier that reroutes the water removed from the air to a drain (is there moisture collecting somewhere within 6-10' of the unit?). If it doesn't turn on, and you've troubleshooted the above to ensure there is electricity to the receptacle, then it's either defective or the moisture setting for removal needs to be adjusted for the humidity in your basement. Perhaps it's dryer down there than you thought, or your hygrostat (? - whatever the doohickey is called that senses humidity level) is set at too high a level that it never turns on/trips in your area. Hope it helps.

Compressor runs and gets hot but fan will not kick on. Replaced the capacitor and that did not help. One side of coils gets hot, the other side gets cold, which seems normal. Just can't get the fan...

Don't run the compressor for any length of time without the fan operating. Is it possible that the fan must be replaced? Can you power the fan safely to test it?

T he compresser on my dehumidifier is loud, why is that.the fan that runs is guiet but when the compresser turns on it sounds like it is vibrating

It may not be setting on a level floor or the hardwood flooring or tile flooring is allowing it to vibrate more than it normally should. Also, remove the air intake filter to make sure it's clean.

Hope this helped you, Kathy. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a HD456E/HD656E dehumidifier that has failed. It is plugged in; however, when the master on/off switch is depressed either the unit will not power on or if it does power on (with compresser...

It could be what you say or it could be that the humidification extraction level is set too High. Try lowering the extraction percentage to 32 - 35%.

If that doesn't help and you'd like to order replacement control board/panel. Call Haier Parts and Technical Support 877-337-3639. But, you may find it cheaper to replace the unit, then repair it.

Humidity sensor reads to low and does not kick the machine on. The readout seems to always be at 20% and wont kick on till 35% Is there an adjustment i can make to tuen the unit on?

It probably doesn't need adjusting, It's simply a case that 20%, there's not enough humidity for the sensor to read. But, at 35% there is. I'd say, your dehumidifier is working as it should.
FYI - there is no adjustments to change the factory settings.

Hope this helped you, chu.
