Problem for Hotpoint BWM12 Front Load Washer
Door won't lock
My door will not lock and due to this the machine will not start. I found that if I push the latch over in the lock manually when the doors open it starts. For some reason it won't do this automatically. Can anyone help?

- Hi, i have a hotpoint washer/dryer but the door wont lock and therefore wont do anything. All the lights come on except the door locked light. We have brought a new lock but still does not work. Can anybody help me?- GuestJul 25, 2008

You either have to change the whole lock assembly, or just fix the catch magnet which might be malfunctioning.
