Question about Sewing Machines
I have a 'vintage' machine that I have used for 30+ years without a problem. Now the needle would go down into the bobbin miechanism without jamming and the bobbin now longer swirls. So even when you want to pick up thread from the bobbin to bring it to the top, nothing happens.
When you look at the mechanism from below the machine, there are two sets of gears that seem to continually get jammed.
I can't find a repair manual?
Any help would be appreciated.
Or a repair person in the 12901 area that services Singer machines?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Take the bobbin case out. Then when you go to put it in, realize there are 2 ways to get it. You have found one way. The other way is first look in the the slot with a flashlight before you insert it. There is a flat piece of metal the bracket needs to be slid under as it is inserted. This acts like a spring making it tight
