This is not a diy job. after replacing compressor, you have to vacuum down the system ie remove all air and measure the amount of refrigerant injected into the system. you need special gear for this

After cleaning frige and plugging it back up it blows air but not getting cold I can here what I think is the thermastat clicking on and off

You are most likely hearing the compressor overload device tripping and resetting as the compressor is probably not starting. remove the rear lower panel of the unit and verify your possible buzz/click is coming from the compressor. If this is the case you can replace the starting and overload device to see if this fixes the issue, if not your compressor may be in need of replacement. Pleazer Appliance...

Balky compressor on pro style refer, alarm going off intermittently

That sounds like your start relay/capacitor needs replaced. The clicking is the relay.

Will not get cold and dont freeze

Look inside the freezer compartment and rear wall of freezer. Does the rear wall appear to have frost buildup? I noticed you said also that the refrigerator will not get cold. If not getting cold this may be simply a start relay problem. The symptoms of not getting cold usually is caused because the compressor start relay has become defective and as the compressor tryst to restart it becomes hot. pull the refrigerator away from wall, unplug and remove lower panel covering the compressor. While unplugged remove cover and feel top of compressor. If warm then the compressor may have been running. If too hot to hold hand on top of compressor unplug until the start relay and start capacitor can be replaced. Let me know your results because I will be able to identafy the parts you need replace to get refrigerator back to cooling normally. Here is the=> 67005560 Relay/Overload with Start Capacitor

If this is what is happening you may need to simply replace this part. Here is a link to these parts as they are shown on the parts breakdown for your Click here=> ABB2222FEB Amana Refrigerator Compressor Components In that photo location 10 is the part that will need to be replaced if I understand you correctly. If the symptoms are any different than this post please let me know so I can adjust the solution to a possible control board=> ABB2222FEB Controls Parts Breakdown From the way you explained the symptoms are the first solution but adding this location should your refrigerator not be defrosting properly. Then again this board can also be OK and somthing in the defrost circuit be defective like defrost heater or defrost thermostat. I will wait to hear back from you to tell me if the compressor is too hot from not starting, If helpful please rate this solution. If you have any question please ask. I will be waiting to hear back from you, Thanks, Sea Breeze

The replacement compressor kit is #12002633 from Amana (Now Whirlpool).
In this kit are the following New model compressor, relay/capacitor, jumper and instructions.
Kenmore does not make appliances rather all of the other manufacturers produce for them.
That part number is for Whirlpool Start Relay/Capacitor and as long as the compressor is the right horsepower for the relay it makes no difference who made it. (Techumseh or Embraco)

I have been doing refrigeration for over 30 years and I have never seen a compressor with a chip inside of it. Have you tried cleaning the condensor coils? I almost sounds like you have a weak start capacitor. Let me know if i can help you any futher.

Amana ARS2365AC Refrig. Noise from under refrig. Refrig getting warmer inside. It clicks like a switch is trying to turn on them gives off a high pitch hum for about 30 seconds. I have made sure that it...

first thing to check is the timer, remove the bottom kick plate,on the left side you'll see a knob,if you can turn it by hand turn it slowly or use a screw driver and turn it until it clicks,it could be stuck in defrost,if the compressor runs then you need to change out the timer.if nothing happens turn the timer until it clicks again.now go in the rear of the machine, unplug the fridge, remove the bottom rear panel and you'll see the compressor, there's a start device on the compressor and they do fail.remove the clip and before you remove it look and see where it clips on to,so when you have to put it back on or replace the part you know where to clip it again.slide off the start device, shake it,if you hear a rattling noise like a piece is broke off inside it or if it smells burnt this is your problem, the part number is W10189190 and it's like 20 dollars.when you call your parts store, give them the model number off the fridge and give them the p number and they will make sure the part number i gave you is correct.now from what you are discribing it sounds like the compressor isn't running,is this correct?and the machine is getting warm.when you change out the start device and if the compressor still doesn't start then you have a bad compressor and most likely you'll need to change out the machine.let me know what you find

Amana model SXD25QA3W. Not cooling. Compressor runs.

Low on refrigerant which is R 12. EPA has stopped the manufacture of it and it is priced out of sight.
You have a leak and will need it fixed. Compressor is about $300-400 list. You don't want to go there.
Good luck but likely 15-17 years old....... New one ???

you can have the compressor replaced for around 500usd on the norm. that would be the most inexpensive way to go compared to a new unit , it will come with a 90 day-1 year warranty.

Buzzing noise near compressor on an Amana refer. PARB1917CSO

I can help , It was the relay , they can blow when they experience a hard start , by replacing it and having the same issue this means the compressor is locked up , they sell a booster for this that can sometimes free the compressor up , its called an rco410 , this part will be your only chance to get your compressor going again. let me know if you have any other questions and tell me how it works out.
