Our experience shows that error messages within this range are typically caused by temporary network issues with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. If there is a problem with the network, our technicians will work to get the service back up as soon as possible. Please retry your connection later.
If you are connecting to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for the first time, or the problem has not resolved itself after a few hours, please review the following:

  1. Our servers may be trying to handle an unusually high amount of traffic (especially if you are trying to play online with a recently-released or popular game, or if there is a new Wii system update). Please wait a few hours and try the connection again later.
  2. How are you connecting online? The Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is only compatible with Cable, DSL, and Fiber-optic internet connections. If you are connecting via Satellite, EV-DO (cellular), Dial-up, or other types of connections, then you should try to use an alternate type of connection. Contact your Internet Service Provider if you are not sure what type of internet connection you have.
  3. The error may be caused by a basic setting on the router that needs to be adjusted (such as the channel). Please review our general router troubleshooting.

<span><span style="font-weight: bold;">Nintendo Wii Error Code 51330</span> usually indicates that the <span style="font-weight: bold;">WEP/WPA</span> key you set on your Wii is not the correct one to gain access to your <a href="/../support/t9472672-39_t_connect_wii_netflix_ger_error#"><span>router</span></a>. <br /><br />When you setup a router for wireless internet, you usually set a WEP key or by default one is set. This is basically a <a href="/../support/t9472672-39_t_connect_wii_netflix_ger_error#"><span>security</span></a> key(<span style="font-weight: bold;">password</span>) that you set so any device that wants to use your <a href="/../support/t9472672-39_t_connect_wii_netflix_ger_error#"><span>internet</span></a> has to enter correctly in order to gain access.<br /><br />If you know your router security key, go into your <span style="font-weight: bold;">Wii network settings</span> and make sure it is entered correctly. This error is caused by a temporary network issue with the Nintendo wireless (Wi-FI) connection.

To solve this issue:

Cant get online through sky broadband
Wii Error Code 51331 means there is a problem with wireless security.
Make sure your router’s WEP/WPA (one or the other not both)key matches the WEP/WPA Key you entered in the Wii.
If you double checked the WEP/WPA key with the router and the Wii and they match, but you still receive the Wii Error Code 51331, then MAC filtering may be enabled in the router. You will have to add your Wii’s MAC address to the router’s allowed list. You can do this by logging into your router and going to the “access control, access list, or network filter” settings.
If you still have trouble with Wii Error Code 51331, try changing the wireless router’s channel to 1 or 11.
