our philips LCD tv is about 4 years old was working fine but screen went black while watching, turned off and on sorted problem for about an hour but went of again still got sound but no picture any ideas!

1 step can confirm if you can fix this. Press menu. If you can get a menu its fixable if you cant its in need of major repair.
