You can find a spec sheet which shows that info here.

You will need the free Acrobat Reader to view or print it.

If I put something in the microwave sometimes it just shuts off then in a few minutes it's OK again

One of the thermal protectors might be defective and opening at too low of a temperature. Or, the magnetron might be running too hot causing it's thermal cutout to open. If equipped with a thermistor on the magnetron instead of a cutout, it may have drifted in value.

Sharp Insight Pro microwave drawer KB6024MS not working

The drawer often stops working when it is abruptly stopped while opening and forced closed or vice-versa. To fix, simply do the following:
1) Push the draw all the way closed
2) Push the "Setup" button repeatedly until the "Open/Close ...?" appears.
3) Hold the Start Button until the time reappears in the display.
4) Repeat steps 2 & 3 three more times
5) Unplug the Microwave for 30 minutes.
The drawer is now reset. The drawer will now open electronically (automatically) either by pushing the open button on the panel or by pulling the drawer handle slightly.

Sharp R-520KS has no power. There is no display.

We have the service manual for this model and have uploaded it to our site here to help you.

You will need the free Adobe Reader to view or print it.

There is a main fuse on the filter board near the rear, a cavity themal cutout an top of the chassis, and a thermal cutout on the magnetron.

All these will interrupt power if open.

The best place to order Sharp parts is Tritronics.

Please write back if you need further help.

Microwave won't work

I would suspect the thermal fuse / thermal cutout or thermostat (whichever it uses) is open. It is located on or above the magnetron.

When the mag gets too hot, this device protects it from destructive overheating by cutting power to the oven. Hopefully it did its job!!

If you have a Sharp R308 (the heading you posted in) then it will be a thermal cutout.

It should read virtually zero ohms or full continuity, depending on how you check it.

If you or someone you know wants to look into this, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa:

You can usually find exploded views and by entering your FULL model number here:

You should also check the internal fuse, just to be sure.

Please reply with your brand and model number if you need further help or if yours is a different model.

We're happy to help and we appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
