You should open machine's upper panel (release 2 screws in the machine's back and slide the cover out) and then you will have an access to it. You should buy a new door catch and replace the broken one. Be aware that you should disconnect machine's power cable before doing it. Good luck

I have a Chrysler 300 2008 front door shows ajar and the inside light stays on

The door switch has failed / broken.
This is usually an easy fix, as long as you can find the switch. On my Grand Voyager, there is nothing obvious. If you cannot see any kind of plunger switch in the door shut (thats the frame the door closes into) then it is probably a part of the door loch mechanism. This might mean you have to buy a complete new door catch if I know chrysler, but if you are lucky, you may get the switch on its own.
The only thing I would say in the mean time though, take the bulb out of the interior light, or if you can, switch off the interior lights, because you will wake up to a flat battery every morning.

The left back door won't open from the outside, it will only open from the inside.

Sounds like the door linkage from the outside handle to the door catch is disconnected / broken. Recommend take off door interior trim and have a look at the little metal linkages. Haynes manual for your vehicle should show how.

2008 chevrolet interior door handle repairs

There is a repair kit for you truck. The part that is broken is the metal piece. If you go through GM you have to buy a brand new interior door trim panel because the door handle part is attached to it. Otherwise I found a company that offers a repair kit that just repairs the broken part. Plus is cheaper then buy a whole interior door trim part. Oven Door Glass -Seal has disintegrated. Is there a glue to re-affix the interior glass panel or do I need a new door?

You can usually refix the glass panel back into the oven door with the correct adhesive. It needs to be the correct heat resistant adhesive.Try http://ovendoorglue.com

My interior lights won't turn off and kills my battery where's the fuse or how do I fix it?

It appears that one of the door operated switches for the interior light is making contact even though the door is closed. This is indicated by the interior light staying on. It could also be that the "Off/ Door/On" Control switch on the main interior is faulty. Check each door switch by operating manually with finger with door open to see if light goes out.

It this check makes light go out then it could be that one of the door catches is slightly out of adjustment allowing door to sit slightly away from body. Try checking each door for a loose fit by pushing the closed door in and observing if interior light goes off, especially the driver's which gets the most use. There should be only a little movement as the sealing rubbers are squeezed a little more. If door catches are tight then it may be that the rubber pad attached to the door that pushes on the door switch button has compressed and is allowing switch to make contact. If these checks don't produce results then there could be a problem with one of the door switches being faulty and making constant contact.

Rear hatch will not open

Fixed this last week in my Cherokee Classic. I started by releasing the hatch catch from the the interior by manually placing a flat screwdriver (something flat) under the catch, pulling the door inward, and letting the hatch open. From here unscrew all screws around the interior panel including the 2 screws under the rubber caps that mount the interior pull handle. Then carefully pull the panel, one section at a time, (carefully...this plastic is cheap) until all panel clips are free and the panel is removed. At this point you will see the inner mechanics of your door latch. Pushing your key fob lock you will see what you have been hearing, and lifting the outside handle you will see what it is supposed to be doing. As you sit in the interior of the car and face the inside of the hatch door, on the drivers side of the latch mechanism you will see a small threaded rod that is attached to the latch mechanism and the catch on the bottom of the door. This threaded rod must be adjusted/returned to the proper setting in order to lift the door catch. This entire mechanism is so cheaply made that you could have something broken in it also....but after finding the aforementioned adjustment mechanism, I realized that it would not take much for this part to self destruct. Hope this helps!

Driver side door lock

The switch is finding its ground thru the interior light switch. Your problem is most likely a broken wire in side the rubber boot that goes from the door to the body near the door hindges.
