The oil pump is run by a worm gear that will strip easily if the oil pump becomes clogged. You'll have to remove the bar and do some disassembly on the saw, but it is possible to fix. You can buy the replacement parts kit (that comes with an instruction sheet) from poulan for about 20 bucks, just call the number on the saw.

SOURCE: stihl 180 chainsaw,lack of oil to chain and bar
I imagine that the oil tube and or drip hole for the chain is plugged up. Remove the bar & clean up all the wood chips, etc to see if the bar oil is working. It can also be the hose or tank connection. Rick
SOURCE: Bar and chain oil is'nt dispensing onto the bar and chain
Its probably the line going to the hole by the bar, or maybe oil tank is plugged up at the outlet. If it were mine, i would take the thing apart & clean the tank, etc, but you might get something like carburator cleaner with the little straw (or WD40 should do) and stick the plastic straw down into the oil hole to try to clean it out. That might work without disassemble. Very low air pressure might also work. The oil cap should be off in any event, and the tank drained.
Doesn't have much to do with your chain being dull, usually chain not sharpened right, like incorrect angle, not having rakers cut down properly and the like. Reminds me, I have 2 saws that i need to sharpen before next week. hope this helps, Rick
SOURCE: what kind of oil is used on the bar chain?
You will probably have to clean the oil orifice on the bar, if this does not do it you will probably have to clean and maybe rebuild the oil pump.

Hello Danny;
I know you have already done this but my OCD requires me to post it.
Oil System Plugged:
If it does not oil on completion of 1 it is most likely a bad oiler or worm gear (see IPL).
You do not provide a model number. Every Husky I have seen has an outboard clutch this may help.

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for oil line routing and it is sketchy at best. Oil system components and part numbers are listed but may be on different illustrations. They are also beneficial with disassembly/reassembly:

06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000; please contact Husqvarna for single digit clarification http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/customer-support/)
15 = week produced – March
