Re: phillips 27PT5441 27" TV
Unless your experienced with tv repair , Think to yourself "self" how long have I had this set?? "Is it worth spending up to 65 or so for an estimate??" These sets now days in most areas at least in the states are unloading these sets for as low as 199.00 . I just got an RCS PIP 32 inch set brand new in the box never been open for 249.00. Great buy. Now these phillip sets do have repoair kits that are available to rebuild the power supply if you know what you are dooing. Theres also a company that will exchange your whole printed curcuit board for your set for about 120 or so . Im not sure how much the shipping and handleling is But I just also found out that they also rebuild and repair CELL PHONES!! This is a great site peeps so save the link as Ive used thios site many times in the past and never had a problem.. Its http://www.ptscorp.com good Luck.

Do you have sound?
When blue light on press power on remote. What happens?
Try reset. Unplug tv hold power button on tv for 60 seconds, let tv sit for 10 minuets, then plug in and turn on. What happens?
With replacement of both boards you should atleast have sound. The blu flashing is booting for a tv before it turns on steady.
What was the inital problem you had for you to replace both boards?
The first possibility is that the new remote control is a dud out of the box. It can happen. Another possibility is that the remote sensor in the TV has failed. Then the remote is transmitting, but it's not being picked up by the TV. (The lights are on but there's nobody home.) If you can, return the new remote to the store and exchange it. Then, if the set still doesn't respond, you'll need to replace the remote sensor.
It is possible that your tuner module has some dry solder/weak joints that is causing the fault. Open as before and look into the board very carefully to see if there is any weak spot. Use a good solderring iron to touch up all the suspect areas but be very careful and do not try this if not familiar to solder as it might turn serious. Hence you can ask an electronic technician to check on this and solder up the chroma/processing stages and reset. If this does not solve the issue , the fault could be failure of the concerned IC. Confirm and replace carefully. Hope you get this right.Good day
We purchased a phillips plasma 50" in july 06 and it cut on and off 5 or more times a day I called phillips customer service they told us it was due to the cable company they came out and changed the tv jack gave us a new box and tested the lines said everything was ok. The problem still kept happening got back to phillips and they sent us a flash drive to update the info in the tv. still kept happening told us it was due to tv being sensitive to power flutuations. well we are now 5mths out of warrenty and the power board blows up! phillips will not do anything to help the person I spoke with admitted we were given bad advice the bill was estimated at over $500 so if I were you if its still under warrenty make them send someone out to look at it, Reading up on phillips tv complaints this seems to be a common thing By the way phillips customer service sucks dont rely on them to help you much. good luck
