Question about Maytag MES5570 Electric Kitchen Range
The element on our Maytag blew out in a fiery display, and the oven was flashing and beeping. The breaker finally popped and I left it off till I replaced the element. Turning the breaker back on, the front display is not coming nor responding to button press.
The burners continue to work. I was unable to find a reset or onboard fuse. Any ideas area appreciated.

SOURCE: oven display won't work
rmedrano, Try pressing and holding the stop-time and cancel pads together for 5 seconds, see if it comes back to life. If not, try the cancel and clock keypads together for 3 seconds. First is the control lock-out funtion and the second is the display blank mode. If these fail to work, you are going to have to test for power at the board. The clock (ERC) has a 3 year warranty incase you have to call for service. Catriver.post back.

you could have a power problem.. the stove will still work with half the power..like the burners on top will work. if thats not it. the wirers could be crossed or you may have a thermal cutout thats bad. but when the tco is bad broil and bake should not be working.. hope this helps
