Matshita uj-825s dvd ram - wont finalize dvd discs
I have been trying to back up discs/information and transfer it to my other computer but everytime it tries to close the disc i get the error invalid field in command and burn has failed. Wasting yet another dvd+r.
Too my knowledge this also happens in disc at once and track at once modes.
I have tried using nero 6 burning rom and nti gold dvd maker but the same error appears.
Can you advise me on whats wrong or has my burner just broken?

- I have updated the firm ware and have enabled DMA on both drives but still get the error invalid field in command and failed to finalize disc.I now believe that this is broken and will be unable to replace as its in a laptop which sucks.
If any1 else has anymore help please let me know.

update to the latest firmware/drivers, and the latest nero.
It could be your drive or media. Try cleaning the lens with a comercial DVD lens cleaner or sometimes some compressed air will do the trick.
Try also to write an image of the disk to the Hard drive. that could rule out any of the software... :-)
And also try burning CD's. it might be that the DVD burning mechanism is screwed.
Close as many programs as you can before burning, it might be a memory problem.
And finaly check your DMA setting - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking...
