My hp tx2000 webcam never responds the cyberlink you cam with some up but become un responsive and hangs there and vista will not let me force quit it... it just hangs there forcing me to restart the computer this is a brand new laptop purchased 2 days ago.

Try installing the Acer Chicony webcam driver, instead of the HP one.
Alternatively ensure the software is explicitly looking at the HP camera, not just 'default'

go to device manager, un-install your web cam and re-install with the drivers cd of web cam, also change the port of the cam els the cam may gone
