Question about Viking VGSC306-4B Gas Kitchen Range
We thought we had a problem with our viking vcsb423. The icemaker makes one tray of ice (8 cubes) in three hours. After speaking with Viking we were told the ice should drop 7-9 times in a 24 hour period. Sounds like ice will always be a problem especially when we are entertaining. Any solutions or comments?
There is a new ice maker make sure you try your best for them to get you this ice maker free of charge. Or at least cover the parts or labor one of the two. They are good with that if you harass them enough. There is also a recall on the hinges for this fridge. Check to see if your serial # falls under that category. Viking recall hotline # is 888-345-2650. Good luck.

You could empty the bucket when full for the days leading up to a party and save the ice somehwere......or buy an Ice machine

you do not need to take apart any switches, all you need - unplug it from power, open front panel (2 screw on each side) remove all knobs, there is 3 more screws behind them). unscrew thermostat 2 screws behind knob. open top part of stove, remove grates and cover. you will see wires to thermostat unplug them and plug one by one to new thermostat. remove old thermostat from inside the oven (it has bracket inside). put the new one. close everything back.
