AIO 924 Carrier Jam

Paper got off center and was torn in carrier. I was able to remove all of the paper, but not have a carrier jam error message. I have made there are is no left over smaller pieces, and there is not. The carrier is stucj in the left position. After reading other posts, I made sure the cartridge tops were closed down. I still get the same error message. HELP!

I tried the ink and it still does it. It sounds like the ink and the paper feed are stuck. I am lost without my printer.

Unplug the USB cable from the back of the printer.

Lift the printer up and turn it upside down.

I'm trying to replace black color cartridge, but get an error message: carrier jam How do I unjam it? Already did the unplug- check for paper jam and replug...no luck!

Remove all paper...(inspect closely for paper jammed way inside!)

also remove both ink cartriges, reinsert them one at a time carefully and properly....also double check the number code on the ink

the jam error could be either paper or cartriges confusing the printer. let me know if it works....k

Paper won't feed and get's stuck

1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

Good luck..

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
7. Turn the printer off.
8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.
