Panasonic PT-52LCX66 When I go to turn my TV on it starts up like normal but then after like 30 seconds shuts back down and the lamp indicator blinks red one time and I've got a new bulb in June of 2010 and I have reset the lamp timer. My feeling is it is the lamp which would really annoy me because my last one lasted like 4 years and now this one about a year. Any help out there? I don't want to have to replace the bulb every year at that rate I might as well just get a new TV...Any Ideas?

Replace lamp. Lamps go out. Don't no why. That is the downfall of these sets . The lamp life can not be predicted.

How to reset the hour meter on a panasonic pt-52lcx16

Panasonic Projection TV Lamp Timer Reset
Your lamp will probably last a lot longer than the TV thinks it should. This procedure will reset the lamp timer so you don't have to look at that annoying message every time you turn your tv on. Remember that the "lamp" indicator light on the lower left of the set will stay on until the lamp is actually replaced. I had to buy a replacement lamp to get this information, could not find it anywhere for these model numbers.
Press the volume down button on the projection display and hold down the zero button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. When the reset procedure is complete, a message will display that the lamp timer was reset to zero.
This procedure will work for Panasonic models: PT-52LCX66 , PT-56LCX66 , PT-61LCX66 , PT-52LCX16 , PT-56LCX16 , PT-61LCX16

My Panasonic PT-52LCX66 worked for about a week after changing the lamp. Now it won't turn on. 3 orange power blinks and 4 red temp blinks. Please help! My husband is to hard to babysit without a TV :)

Three orange power blinks indicates a 'Malfunction 5', and that your unit requires servicing. You can try pressing POWER on the unit for over 7 seconds, and then turning the set back on after 5 more seconds. If this doesn't help the set needs servicing.

If you didn't reset the lamp timer after replacing it, you might try that by following these steps.

If you think browsing the troubleshooting section of your operating manual may help, you can access it here.

I hope that helps.

The green light blink for a while and then shuts off and the lamp light blinks once red???

The green blinking lamp means that the TV is getting ready to start the lamp, and then one red LAMP blink means the lamp will not start. You may need a new lamp (Part TYLA1001.)

If a tech confirms this, and you can source the part, you can find TYLA1001 installation instructions here to save a few dollars, and PT-52LCX66 lamp timer reset steps here.

I hope that helps.
