I was using my asus laptop and it suddenly turned off. i was trying to open it again by pushing the power button but nothing happened. there was no display in the screen but the power button still have light. i was trying it with full battery. i even let it stand overnight but nothing changed. please help.

you can try to conect the laptop directly to the power outlet without using the battery just to verify if it the battery or the charger itself..If it still power up the laptop,that means that the adapter is still working,if not,well obviously,its the battery itself
some times this problems are rarely occured of becuse your hard many no booted properly or my be problem with your laptop battery it may not be properly charged charge continusely for one hour and try again if problem is still there contact your nearst asus service center or goto www.asus.com and post your complaint there. thats all

Diagnostics: 1. Power On by Battery only? (Y = 2, N = 4) 2. Able to see BIOS (ASUS Logo)? (Y = 3, N = A) 3. Able to load the OS? (Y = B, N = A) 4. Adapter power LED on? (Y = 5, N = C) 5. Power On by Adapter only? (Y = 6, N = A) 6. Able to see BIOS (ASUS Logo)? (Y = 7, N = A) 7. Able to load O/S? (Y = D, N = A)
Symptom & Solutions: A = Problem may be caused by defective MB/HDD/NB. Please visit local service centre for repair. B = Problem may be caused by OS, please re-install the system again. C = Adapter Problem. Please check the power cord connection. Otherwise, visit the local service centre for replacement. D = Battery problem. Please check the connectivity of the battery. Otherwise, please visit local service centre for repair.
First check the wall socket make sure you are getting power, plug a lamp into it for instance. If there is no green light on the adapter then it is bad and you will need to order a new one from your computer manufactor.
