I have a Toshiba 36 inch t.v. that I have to hit everytime I turn it on. What is the issue with it doing that?
Also once the picture comes in then sometimes it continues to flicker on and off by itself.
Also, I can't get a universal remote or my directv remote to program to this particular t.v. so I can control the volume on it. I need help.

your hitting the tv is going to get worse or cause other problems in the future as this is nothing more then a loose solder connection or a loose plug or cable. for you to find a problem like this will take a bit of troubleshooting in the power supply or the horizontal section of the tv. There is no real common problems I've found in the past with this model but if you know how to solder and your very carefull and not afraid to go wheres theres 100s of voltage then take off the back and start to probe around on the Printed curcuit board with a plastic tool and see if you can localize the connection problem BUT I would reconmend that you get a pro to find this for you as Im sure there would be no parts involved and should if he honest a small minimum labor charge But if you go in a mess something up dont expect the repair person to give ya a break. Now with the remote issue. I found that the ORIGINAL remote is available at http://www.remotes.com for $27.77 + shipping. Now thats a deal and a half if you ask me as I found out that from toshiba the want 59.95 + shipping.. Good Luck
