Try seeting the channel to 11. (adjust the channel)

if your wireless network is secured try to disable it for a while to see if that is causing the problem.

try to reset the device by pushing the reset button for 15 sec at the back
(note: important!! by pressing the reset you will loose the informations that you set on the router be sure to know all the settings before resetting the router.)

try updating the firmware of the router to the latest.

try to reboot your netgear router. if the same issue persist, try deleting the wireless networks saved to your computer and try to reconnect.

You could try a firmware update, if this is no better it may be time to ask your ISP for new router.

DG834G is a modem/router, it is not a range extender that could extend the range of the wireless signal from the Belkin router.

make sure that there are no cordless or wireless devices near the router such as a cordless phone since that will interfere with the wireless signal and a cause for frequent disconnection.

otherwise, the device should be replaced already.

Somtimes thats enough....

Try moving the router and changing the angles of the antenna to see if you can get stronger signal strength...
