I suspect the e recovery is designed to be used on a normal CD/DVD and not on the USB version
As you have very recently purchased the device, I would contact the ACER support line - heres a link to the global phone numbers http://support.acer-euro.com/phone.html
Then if there is a problem with the machine you can get an RMA number and take it back to the shop where you purchased and they should exchange as its so new - or return to ACER for repair
