My AEG 6200 Digitronic washing machine is leaking from the front door seal down the front and onto the floor. Is this a common problem and can it be fixed? - for example by replacing the opening rubber seal? James

Is this a common problem and can it be fixed?
- for example by replacing the opening rubber seal?

Yes I believe that replacing the rubber seal is usually the answer.

How old is the unit? And is the washer working well other wise?
Is it draining and not smelling like mold in side?
Some times in an old machine the pump does not completely dran out and it could smell like moldy water! Then if it's aged. I would consider not fixing both of these to problems in a washer 10 years or older not to put good money in to bad!
But if the leak is the only problem, go for the seal!

Try turning the water pressure down. If you have high water pressure the water comes into the dispenser to hard and splashes over the front & side of the dispenser draw the trickles down the inside of the front panel out on to the floor. Very common front loader problem.

Hi,maybe the draw dispencer is damaged,I wouldnt think it is the drum seal,what I would do is tilt the washing machine so that the top of the machine is leaning against the wall so that the front of the machine is of the ground,then while you get underneath the front on the floor with a torch get someone to put water in the dispencer and see if you can see where the water is leaking from,I hope this was some help,all the best.

you have a hole in the rubber boot seal and need to change it,also i've seen a buildup of detergent and hair stuck on the bottom side of the front door,when the door is closed the water was traveling down the pieces of hair and leaking through the bottom of the door,but if it's leaking under where the pump is and it's not the pump or hoses it's the boot seal.open the door and pull open the boot seal and run your fingers all around until you find the hole

Leaking water onto floor from inside machine
2 common places.1 leak from the pipe/s from the valves to the dispenser box,2 @6 o/clock position in the fold of the door seal is where these models produce a small split.filter not tight.water bubbling over stand pipe when machine pumps out?these machines are usually fairly leak free so might be just one of these things i`ve listed here with luck.

How do i re set an EFO code on an AEG LAVAMAT
you just need to mop up the water inside the cabinet to allow the float switch in the base to reset.check there is nothing stopping the float returning to the floor. a small leak from the door seal can cause enough of a leak to trip it . clean the door glass and seal to stop this. or change the door seal.

Small **** in the rubber molding inside the door; leaking.
You may need to replace the door seal. But first take some 100% pure silicone and push some in the hole and around the hole. Let this dry for 24 hours before using this should seal it up. Dishwasher is leaking in front onto floor. Water level during washing seems too high. Float is not obstructed by any object. What can I do next?
if it seems to be coming from the front it may be the rubber door seal they are not to expensive and not very hard to change if it is leaking under machine it may be the seal that sits on top of motor if water is leaking around motor the seal in the bottom of the washer is damaged

AEG OKO_LAVAMAT 6200 DIGITRONIC fRONT LOADER wASHING MACHINE Problem: The drum doesn't spin or turn at all during any programm. We have releveled the machine and run a washing programm several times.
I have the same problem and Dell Appliances serviceman this morning stated it was a faulty interlock mechanism and that was preventing the spin function working. cheers.
