Your radio has 2 blue wires. one of them provides a 12 volt turn on for a power antenna (when a cd is inserted that 12 volt turn on turns off, because when a cd is playing, the antenna doesn't need to be raised up). The other blue wire has a 12 volt turn whenever the radio or the cd is turned on--this is the blue wire that you need to connect to your amp remote line. ( pull out the radio and switch the blue wires)
respectfully,
Merle

Everything works fine when i play a cd it works it reads it but dont hear the music when i turn to radio i hear the music, just wondering what could be wrong help me out thanks..

First off how long have you owned the unit? Did you buy it new? Did it ever work playing cd's? it sounds like either a setting problem or a hardware problem with the unit. Once I have more information I can assist you further in trying to isolate the problem.
Thank you,
Lee

Why do my subs work when the radios on but when i play a cd the subs dont come on

Hello m_renner67,

Most likely the amp remote terminal was connected to the head unit power antenna lead rather than the amp turn-on lead.

If the head unit does not have a dedicated turn-on lead, you can wire the amp remote terminal to any switched 12V source.

Hope this helps.

Amp shuts off when trying to play cd

it sounds like you have the amp hooked up to the power antenna lead instead of the amp remote lead. should be two blue wires.

Got the hot nd ground conted nd the aux cables from the raido conted nd the amp does not turn on

The amp needs a remote signal to turn on. This is provided by wire from the back of your head unit. Also look for a 'REM' or 'remote' connection on the amp (besides the 12v and ground connection).

Look at the wiring/setup diagram for your head unit to determine which wire/connection you should use for this.

If the head unit does not have a specific 'remote' wire, you can usually use the power antenna wire to provide a turn on signal to the amp instead.

Kenwood head unit CD and AUX sound not working

I fixed the sound problem with tech support from Kenwood. I had the blue wire from the Kenwood which is the antennae turn on wired to the amp turn on for the vehicle (2001 Blazer with Bose factory stereo). This is how I was told to wire it from the installation tech where I purchased the wiring harness. The tuning played fine because the Bose amp turned on when I played the tuner but when I played the cd or aux the amp turned off, thus no sound. The kenwood tech toldd me to wire the blue/white wire to the amp turn on for the vehicle so the amp would be on when ever power to the Kenwood was on. I rewired this way and everything works great now.

Amp is not working right

it is possible you need a filter between your head unit and your amp. I had a simalar problem with my car system where you turn it on and the subs go mental. I fixed itby going to my local car audio store and buying a noise filter to go between the amp and head unit. Hope this helps

Kenwood kdc-mp528 amp/speaker problem???

This is a common mistake. This problem indicates that you are using the solid blue wire from the head unit to the remote turn-on on the amp. This is a power antenna wire that only receives power when on FM radio. You need to replace this with the Blue & White wire from the head unit (power control wire) to your remote turn-on on your amp. This should solve your issue.

Amp turns off when head unit is playing cds

Connect the remote turn on to the blue wire w/white stripe coming from the head unit, NOT the solid blue wire which is the antenna turn on.
