My toshiba satellite was working ok on battety when plugged in. Went dead. No lights no response to button

what do you mean by working on battery when plugged in.
If it was plugged in to power then it should run on Power not battery.
Suggest power adapter may be faulty and battery is now flat.
Also Suggest trying this - holding power button in for 2 minutes and then try power button again. in case it has locked up

Hi 5 mo old Toshiba Satellite E45t - B4204 (PSPN4U - 00G002), power light (button) is on, but laptop will not boot, no post, no display. Pulled battery, held power button 60 sec, reinserted battery, still...

Hi
After only 6 months this will still be under warranty and I would suggest that you take the laptop back to the vendor and request a replacement, as it cannot be regarded as of "Merchantable Quality". Alternatively contact Toshiba, also under warranty. Don't do anything further to the machine so that you do nothing that will invalidate your warranty.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya

Why Toshiba Satellite A665 Laptop won't start?

Have you tried pressing space bar (maybe its in hibernation mode) ?

or try holding power button for a few seconds (10) then turn it back on.

as a last resort you could try take the battery out, disconnect it from the power adapter, hold down the power button for 30 seconds and then place the battery back in and the power adapter and try powering it on?

Toshiba Satellite 2415 S205 Lap. Older but not a bad maching. Just got it used. The "Toshiba Power Management" will not open. I've looked in BIOS settings, virus checked, etc. I'm stumped. No error msg....

chazzL,

If you're trying to access the power options, this should:

1. Right click on your desktop and select "Properties" (Alternatively, open Control Panel and go to Display).
2. Click on the Screen Saver tab.
3. Click on the button that says "Power".

Hope this helps.

Forward emails from Yahoo account

I think the only easy way would be signing up for Yahoo Mail Plus!

Toshiba Satellite A135 laptop

Try disconnecting power adapter and removing battery for two minutes. If the laptop still does not boot then there is an hardware problem. You can try taking out and putting back ram modules, but my suggestion is to take the laptop at a repair shop, if you cannot fix it by removing battery.

Toshiba Satellite L25-S119 Does not Power on

hmmm..not sure about this one..seems that your m/b may in fact have some bad circuitry, that the power supply sees, and won't run into...

the ac adaptor works on another machine, so your Toshiba sounds like it's having a bad time.

is it under warranty?
