For the price difference I think I can give it a shot? If not successful then I guess it's time for a new TV unit? Can you give me the instructions and I will follow them to the letter? What kind of meter and solder do I need? Thanks.....
Sounds like a convergence circuit gone bad. If you can provide a model number we can be much more helpful to you.

- Convergence is common to go bad in the model. If you know how to use a meter and solder I can walk you through this repair, it should cost you less than $100. If not you will need a repairman to come and do it for you, this will cost you around $300-$500. let me know what you would like to do?

i HAVE A 47" PANASONIC REAR PROJECTION TV. pURCHASED NEW FROM CIRCUIT CITY DEC 2001. wORKS EXCELLECNTLY NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. NOT USED AS MUCH AS A FAMILY ROOM TV, WHICH ARE ON CONTANTLY. WE WERE TOLD THAT THESE WERE NOT OPTIMUM FOR GAMING THAT WAS FINE FOR NOW. WE ARE LOOKING TO REPLACE IT WITH A LCD. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD SELLING PRICE FOR THIS OLD UNIT.
