Volume display at zero but volume still loud

If you are using a cable box it has volume controls as well--if so turn sound down there.

If that does not work try hooking a DVD etc to a rear input to see if volume on that input works normally.

The box can malfunction and if unplugged (set is not likely but possible also) and then plugged back in both the set and box if used will reboot.

No picture (all snow).

Try hooking a DVD etc to one of the rear inputs to see if it works that way--if so you may have a bad tuner in the set but there are ways around that.

Attenna hook up

Yes, This set does not have a digital tuner built in. All over the air signals are now digital. This set will work without a converter if hooked up to standard cable,DVD,VCR or Video game console. If you purchase a DVD with a digital tuner built in you can skip the converter box and hook your HDTV antenna directly to it.

Sound Issue

Check the cable box volume. Most boxes allow you to adjust the volume from the box to the TV, and most likely it's gotten turned down. Use the "Volume" control on the cable box to bring the level back up. (Unless the box remote has been set up for RCA, it controls the box volume. Once you get the volume back up, follow the cable provider's instructions for setting the remote to control an RCA. Then the volume control will function correctly.)

Volume is not working correctly...getting lower

Is your set connected to a cable box? If so then the box itself could be causing your problem. Some of the boxes have their own volume controls. Otherwise you could have a problem anywhere from the rf input to the audio amplifier section. A tuned circuit could be drifting off frequency in the tuned part of the audio circuits. You'd need to have it checked out by a technician. Stargazer
