Well first of all Net books are kind of tricky because you have not DVD drive so most are loaded with a hidden factory partition in it, the commands to recover your net book are ALT F10 but if you are running vista or win 7 start the machine and during start of strike the f8 button this will boot you into the advance start up menu, choose repair my computer after that you will get a list of recovery tools. choose factory restore out of box or something to that affect. If your recovery partition is still intact the net book should start the process of re installing windows and all your drivers to out of the box condition. For XP users restart the net book and during the splash screen hit ALT and F10 at the same times several times and that will automatically invoke the recovery partition. . Hope this helps.

if the netbook is setup like the normal notebook, usually the F10 key starts the recovery process.

Welcome to Fixya

Error means the boot files are missing or damaged. Try to restore the computer using the disk that came with it instead of using the recovery console.

SOURCE: I WANT TO REBOOT MY NETBOOK

Reboot the computer and as soon as it turns on start tapping F9 repeatedly. Do this immediatly after hitting the power button. If Windows Starts to load - you will need to reboot and retry.

Hitting F9 should take you to the recovery partition option. If you select to run it - it will erase everything on your laptop and set it back to factory defaults.

If you have more questions, consult the manual that you can download here: http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&p=20&s=1&m=Eee%20PC%20R101&os=17&hashedid=GhBUCjHj4BRr7ndV

Hope that helps!
