I would suggest you bypass the troublesome circuit and the overload of curent density by powering down the unit before charging. Wait a moment before re-starting the unit. In your personal settings you may fine an option of when to turn off, it may be set to never. The driver on the unit is in question as it seems to need the one on your computer to function. See if you can download a new version other than the one currently on your unit, or maybe the one you have is somehow currupted, then try the same one but from a different source than where you originally aquired yours. You will need to turn off your firewall and other security in order to download the driver, once you are at the trusted site or your internet settings can interfere; another way is to list the trusted sites in your internet options pages, which will allow the downlaods to be uncorrupted. Hope this helps. GOD bless MY Love, Walneta

The set would have hung up and so refused to switch on but when it was left to charge again it would have reset. So check to see if there are any faulty files on the memory , connect to PC , scan and check. If so remove all files and then copy back after formatting the memory.
I have an iriver mp3 player (Model: T8)
When I turn off it , it never becomes off and its screen shows the power&play menu the same message as it is pluged to PC USB port!
and all the buttons become freeze(I mean they don't work)! therefore I have to reset it but unfortunately after turn on iriver again, there is still this problem and I must repeat this process again!
what should I do?
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. Then firmware upgrade
the player has to be connected to computer via USB cord one end goes into the mp3 or mp4 and the other goes into the usb port after it has charged to turn it on u have to hold the menu button down/ Thats how mine work Does anyone know how to add videos I have added pictures which looks beautiful.
Yes, try running a format from your computer to the IRiver with it plugged into the USB port. I have done this with several friends MP3 players and it works great. In other words plug your MP3 player into your computer as you usually do and from windows or dos in your accessories run a regular format of the MTP portable device or whichever drive dos says it is. Then presto you can again load music or whatever your MP3 player take into it again.
