Brother sx-4000 typewriter

When i turn on typewriter it starts making a clicking noise and won't stop. The codes on typewriter are as followed. pitch 10, line 1, and word spell.

I have the same problem.

you have a gremlin in your typwritter?? No you may though have a few stuck buttons as I used to fix these word processors all the time and that was very common. If thats not the problem then its in the controller assy PCB and its expensive as every board on this unit is only replaceable as an assy. IF its available!! you could call the main support # in your owners manual and see what they tell ya or call here. 800-276-7746 Good Luck!

We are getting half letters...only the tops. Any soultion? It a brand new machine we just took it out of the box.
