I got my TV 1 year ago and have used it a ton. Recently I have noticed it takes at least 15 seconds for my TV to turn on after I press the "ON" button. Should I be concerned that my TV is taking forever to turn on? How do I fix the problem? Is it worth fixing?

This sounds similar to a known problem with bad capacitors in some Samsung TVs. Even though the TV is out of warranty, Samsung extend the repair period for affected TVs. Get your TV model and serial number off the back and then call Samsung at: 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864).
Explain the problem and let them know that you have heard about similar problems and heard they were being repaired out of warranty. In my case, they sent a tech out and did the repair for free.
If for some reason they will not do it, the repair is quite simple for someone who can solder and you can find details here: http://www.thebuzzmedia.com/samsung-tv-capacitor-clicking-issue-and-free-repair/
Write down your serial # (found on the back or on the side) and your model # and call 800-Samsung. The issue has to do with the capacitors and if your TV was manufactured between Dec 2007 and May 2008 they will send a repairman out to repair for free (one time only). I just called and they are sending someone out to repair mine. Apparently there are tons of people experience the same problem.
Hi, this is quite a common problem for plasma screens and LCD screens. The fluroscent backlight is more than likely faulty and would need replacing. The best thing to do is to take it to a service centre because there are no user servicable parts inside the plasma.
this happens because of panel conditioning. as the panel ages it requires different voltages to produce the picture.it takes about 1000 hrs before it has conditioned. it is a simple adjustment a tech can do for you. when this adjustment is made no other adjustment will be needed for this problem.
